Youth Detention Centre

In Victoria there is a youth detention centre where teenge boys and girls are sent when the have brocken the law. The detention centre has facilities like an outdoor basketball court and a small football field. It also has a school because the goverment and the parents of the kids think they shouldn’t be missing out on their education.

To get into a detention centre you don’t just commit a crime once you will just get a warning you have to disobay the law 3-5 times then you could be sent to the detention centre.

Teenagers who have commited crimes should be sent to the detention centre beacause they should face the punishment.

These teenagers must learn from their mistake. They will recieve education at the detention centre so they can still make a living when they are older.

In my opinion i think teenagers should be sent to the detention centre but only if they commit the same or different crimes over and over again.

Animal Cruelty

In some farm’s pigs are being treated really cruely by thier owner’s. In other farm’s Pigs are able to run around they are called free range pigs.

At market’s you can now buy free range pork rather then getting pork from a pig who suffered from poor farming.

A few week’s ago a farmer in Tassie was fined a lot of money because of his cruelty to the pigs. A Animal activist went into the pigery and was horrified by what she saw. The pigs couldn’t move because of the macots. Now most of the people think that we should have more free range farm’s. I also think that pigs should be treated fairly.

OIL SPILL

Last week the Pacific Adventurer was on its way from Newcastle England to Brisbane Australia but they didn’t know that ex Cyclone Hamish was on the Brisbane Goast and the ship ran into huge waves from the Cyclone. The ship’s containers fell overboard ( 31 to be exact ) because they wern’t stuck to the ship. The ship’s crew thought it would be a safe journey but one of these containers hit the ship’s full tank leaving around 200,000 litres of full leaking to the sea endangering fish and seacreatures.

The Goast which the oil leaked onto covered a massive Sixty kilometers with the sticky oil endangering birds and other flying creatures so the communitie is trying to clean the animals before they go back to the ocean.

I reckon that they ship’s compenie should be fined for not making sure that the ship was stabled and the Captain as well for not making sure that the ship was okay and they should have known about the cyclone because of there radar.

SRI LANKEN CRICKET ATTACK

Last week the Sri lanken cricket team were on their way to Pakinstan when they were caught under heavy fire from what the people think was a terrorist attack.

Six Policemen were killed and two Sri Lanken crickers were badly injured. The Sri Lankens mini buses and their bus left with bullet marks on the windows and the Sri Lankens bus driver killed in the attack.

In Pakinstan crickters are like gods even though they are from another country. The bad thing is there might not be any more International cricket played there for quite some time.

Orangutans

Orangutans are apes that live in Indeanisia. Unfortunatly they are nearly extinet.

The Orangutans are nearly extinet because of deforeststation. Trees are chopped down for timber which is used for houses. Also palm plantatias replace the forests for palmoil production. Sadly many babies are orphaned.

As long as Orangutans have trees and forest places to build their nests then they should be okay. Just think if you love someone why not love or at the least like the closest thing to a human a Orangutan.
