Steaplechasing or jumps racing has been around for 177 years. It started when two Irish men had a bet about racing their horses between two church steeples jumping every obsticle in their path.
Some good things about the sport is that there it is fun to watch, Theres betting, it creats jobs, it attracts tourists and it has been a tradition for 177 years!
