As you know in America heaps of movies are made and a lot of those movies focus on teenage life like High School Musical 1, 2 and 3, Bring it on (all of them) and so many more.

In real life you do not break out into song at school because you are sad of happy. Lots of things are different about movies and real life and movies for example it is not all about winning a cheerleading competition or beating the other basketball team.

But there are things that are the same as in the movies like there are similar classes, there is a big eating hall and there is good food. But there is another PROM! Every girl wants to be prom queen.

So what I am trying to say is that real life is not just like the movies you see in the cinema real life is much better. So if you go to America do not expect what you see in the movies because not all of it is true.  

As you may know Remembrance Day is a day to remember the hero’s that fought to protect are country. But do only honer people or do we honer the other kind of hero, animals.

Did you know that dogs were used to comfort and help meaning when a soldier went for a stroll a dog would go with them not just for excise because when a enemy was approaching a dog would be able to hear them and warn there owner before the enemy would be able to reach them another reason was that dogs also have a good scence of smell so they could smell any kind of threat.

Dogs were not the only kind of animal taken to war cats, pigeons, glow worms, horses and even monkeys were taken to war they all had jobs pigeons were used as message fliers, meaning soldiers would attach a special type of equipment to the back legs of the bird which would contain a mini message that the bird would fly to another trench so that the receiver would read it and do what the letter said.

Did you know that there is a animal medal? That is a Victorian cross but for animals it is called the Dickin. It is awarded for animal bravery.

There many heroes back then especially animals two of the most heroic were Simon the cat who was captured and even then he stayed strong and killed any rodent who tried to nibble on the food. And a pigeon called Deedee who flew threw a tropical storm to save over 100 people. Deedee and Simon both got awarded a Dickin medal.

So there are many heros and they are not just humans they are also animals.

Have you ever wondered what happens to teens that break the law? Well they either do something called mediation, which is where you have a talk with the victim, police and your parents to work out a suitable punishment like a written apology or a public apology. But if it is more serious they can be sent to youth court. In youth court a judge or magistrate will decide your punishment. Usually youth court give a child as many chances as possible but if it is more serious like murder, assault or stealing a car a couple of times you can be sent to juvenile detention.

Juvenile detention centres are all around Australia they are for children that have broken the law more than once or have committed serious crimes. The kids must do what they are told; they don’t exactly have a choice in what they do. There are not many things to do in juvenile detention some children can be in there for up to 3 years sometimes more sometimes less because they are in the detention centre for a long time they miss out on quite a lot one thing they do not miss out on is school. School is seen as a way to help these kids stay out of trouble once they leave. Most kids inside get the chance to do classes, as well as practice other job skills. The whole point of the juvenile justice system is to stop kids turning into lifelong criminals but unfortunately that’s not always the result. For example, in NSW, over half of the boys in detention will get in trouble again within a year. Some people say that there are a few problems with the system for example they say putting criminals together is bad because the children could plan to meet when they get out and they could put their thoughts together which would be terrible.

So there are problems with the system but they do their job most of the time and it keeps kids out of jail I think that is the main reason for these centres. They try to keep children out of jail cause jail is dangerous, disgusting and so much more. And I think they will improve over the years and they are a great place to send kids that have broken the law much better then jail!!

Uluru

As you might know in the Northern Territory there is a great, big red ROCK but this is not just any rock this rock is the famous Uluru. Uluru has been in this world for Decades. But at the moment it has being I dears of closing it down to climbers.

There are two sides to the argument so I am going to write about them both. If Uluru was to be closed down it would be closed down permanently! Some people agree and some people disagree. One of the main reasons for this is because of the native people,  they do not want people climbing Uluru because of spiritual reasons also because it is a very dangerous climb, people have died and because of littering. But if Uluru was to be closed down we would be closing down a MAJOUR TOURIST ATRACTION which would be bad did you know that Uluru is 348 metres high and that Uluru dates back over 500 million years and that in 1920, part of Uluru – Kata Tjuta National Park was declared an Aboriginal Reserve there is so much history in this Rock.

So personally I think that the indigenes people should be the ones to chose wether you can climb it but you should still be able to look at it what do you think put your vote into the

As you know all around Australia people are losing their jobs.  If people do not have jobs they can’t buy much which might. Put shop keepers out of business. This is not good!

did you know that around 47,000 people lost their jobs last and this month which is not good. We know this because once a month one certain place is chosen to be surveyed on jobs. Did you know hat 24,000 homes are chosen a month.

Unemployed people are in danger. Because maybe at one point they end up might be struggling with their bills. And maybe lose their house and end up on the street. This is not good, especially for people with kids! Also it is bad if people do not have money because they are not able to buy much more places may go out of business because they have not been making enough money. Which means more people will lose their Jobs. And that will just make the problem worse

This needs to STOP. Companies need to stay where they are and not move. Or they could at least give them some notice by saying “sorry to say this we might be going out of business so just I case start looking at job options!” that is how somebody should be treated!

Australia’s solution for fires is not good enough! You should not have a chose between leave early and fight and stay it is a terrible thing!

The plan is you have a chose you can fight and stay or you can leave early. Personally I think you should leave early because you will only lose your house and not a loved one which is better than losing both

If you fight and stay latter on if you decide to give up it may already be too late! Staying and fighting is bad it means you risk yourself. We are not professionals the fire fighters are so leave it to them. If you do not want to lose everything and not get any think back too bad

Fighting and staying is stupid because you may lose a loved one it is better to get out of there and save you and your family and pets. Do not risk it because you might lose something you love and more it is better to live not die. Wouldn’t you rather lose your house then your house and loved ones? Personally I would rather just lose my house!

So what do you think I think it should stop NOW. If it stops more people will live through this terrible tragedy it is a terrible solution!

As you know all around the country people are losing their jobs because the factories that they work at have relocated to china. Did you know that around 2000 people have already lost their jobs which is very unfair because they have helped to make the factory what it is today.

One of the reasons many factories are moving is because of the profits. This works because some parts  of China are very poor. So this means Chinese people will work for very low pay which is terrible. Because so many people buy Bonds and other things from the Company they make lots of money and because there is less given to workers in China this leaves more profit for the Company!

Did you know less than 10% of products sold in Australia are made in Australia. So on days for example on Australia day when you want to be a full Australian it is nearly Impossible. Because you may be wearing Australia designed clothes but they were made in China! NOT AUSTRALIA

About a mounth ago on a Tasmanian beach a 13 year old girl named Hanah was atacked by a shark. She suffered a large bite to the leg it was very deep the docters had to stitch it up. 200 hundred were needed to keep it sucure! Hanah was atacked by a great white shark. she was surf in with her cousin Syb he discrived the atack like this. we were just talking after catching a wave all of a sudden Hanha said she saw something move and then i saw it a great white shark she screamed as it graved her i swam as fast as i could go when i reached her i punched and punched intill the shark let go he swam her up to his board and paddled her to shore and called 000. Hanah plans to rest, heal and get back out there and her cousin will go to!!

Most people think the sharks should be culled but other people think other wise otherwise they think we should just put up nets on the cost and Hanah is one of them! Sharks have a rigth to be where they are the water is there teritory! Its not like they come and surf on are land!
