In America the lifestyle for the kids is much different, especially the kids in Lincoln, California. These kids are right near Hollywood Beverly Hills and all those big places.

They’re so lucky that they’re near big famous places like Hollywood so they get to see big stars often, not like us. We have to travel very far to meet famous people. They also get to go to amusement parks, when if we want to go to amusement parks we have to go to the gold coast or somewhere far away.

American schools aren’t necessarily how the movies show them, like High School Musical. They don’t just randomly sing and dance in the cafeteria but there are some of the same things like cheer leading baseball and NFL, they are really big America.

These kids are extremely lucky that they get to see movie stars. Imagine traveling 15 minutes away and you’ve seen a big movie star or going to Hollywood for your school excursion, how fun and awesome would that be. There’s also Beverly Hills which has a nice beach, nice houses and expensive restaurants. 

Considering us Australians know a lot about America like about their president and about their actors you would think that they would know about us, but surprisingly they know hardly anything. The only thing they really know about us is our animals, oh and a couple of actors but they don’t even know Heath Ledger or Hugh Jackman who are big actors in Australia, and they don’t even know Steve Irwin the crocodile hunter.

Why is Bundanoon banning bottled water? why would you ban bottled water? well the reason is one bottle of water is equevilent of 200ml of oil, and also 1000l of bottled water would cost $3000 and 1000l of tap water would cost $1.20.

Do you know why we would die if we didn’t have water? Because 60% of our whole body is made of water, infact our brain is made of 70%water, our lungs are made of 80% water and our bones are made up of 20 % water

the water industry is doing really well and i think they’re doing really well because alot of people are going out so they buy there water and people like bottled and flavoured water although tap water i healthier for you for you. With the bottled people just chuck the bottles on the floor which is bad for the environment.

i think bottled water is needed under some circumstances like in a flood when all the water is not very helthy for you and when your know where near anything so you cant get tapped water . I think you should ban bottled water bu some issues will still be adreesed.

if we ban bottled water more people would drink tap water so they couldn’t chuck their bottles away but but then all there will be on the shelves will be very unhealthy drinks which isnt very good. so there’s alot of ways this can go and i hope they make the right decision                                                                                                                

A 12 year old boy named Nicholas was riding his bike without a helmet.  He fell off his bike and hit his head on the ground and because he had no helmet on he suffered a severe injury.

This injury caused bleeding inside his head which was pushing the brain to one side which could have killed him.  The brain was being pushed because of the build up of pressure inside his head. 

The doctor knew he had to drill a hole in the boys head to release the pressure but didn’t know how to do it.  He didn’t have the right equipment so he had to buy a real drill to drill a hole through Nicholas’ head.  He then rang a specialist to direct him where and how deep the hole should be.

The operation was a success and Nicholas is now recovering in hospital.

A long time ago Australians let a lot of migrates in to help build our country and make us have more skilled workers. They did this to have better shops and restaurants so Australians economy will become stronger.

Now it’s a bid issue because the skilled are competing with th unemployed Australians, so more skilled would leave a lot of unemployed. So more migrates the more unemployed which leaves a lot of Australians fustrated.

There is anotherside to this story. When the migrates come over they can start new shops and restaurants which make the unemployed imployed because theres more shops to work at. It will make Australians aconamy have a boost if these shops or restaurants become succesful

I think migrates should be able to come to Australia because they boost our aconomy and with out them we wouldn’t have all those fantastic chines and international restaurants and also if we didn’t have them our country would be a very boring country and we wouldn’t know what it would be like without out these places

The Archibald Prize is a contest which u have to paint a picture of someone famous. There is only one winner in this contest. Doesn’t matter how good the painting is, it has to be of someone famous. This contest has been going for 88 years which is a lot of years. There’s so many artist’s fighting for the $50,000 prize money, you could probably bet there is some controversy!

One year a guy painted a picture of bananas in pyjamas but some people didn’t think it was right to have them allowed in the contest. Eventually they didn’t let them in the contest. I think it was good because if they had won then there would have been a big fight. There was a huge fuss when a guy went to the Supreme Court for painting a picture made out of charcoal, this guy won the contest and got to keep the prize money.

Lots of people are taking up the challenge, there is a guy named Tim who’s 16 and he decided to enter the Archibald Prize for his first time. Tim has been painting since he was 10 and he’s already won some prizes.

On the islands of Sumatra and Borneo there has been a huge reduction of trees. The reason for the reduction is the people cutting the trees are doing that for palm oil. Because the loss of trees the Orang-utans are becoming Endangered, so they are being looked after at the orang-utans day care

The baby orang-utans have been looked after at a day care. At the day care they teach them to do tricks and how to live in the wild. It’s only baby orang-utans that are looked after. The orang-utans are all orphans. The orang-utans can’t go back to the wild right now because it all destroyed.

If they completely stop cutting down the trees then the tree cutters would lose their job and most likely brake. We’ll also have a reduction of products because lots of things are made of palm oil.

The best solution for this problem is not to cut lots of trees down but not to completely stop. Just reduce the amount of trees cut down. This way the Orang-utans will be safe and the people will still have their jobs.

On schoolies week people graduate from year 12 and usualy go to a big concert or party and holiday for 5 days. they often get drunk and get in trouble from the police.

Last year, Some people went to East Timor instead of partying .They went to East Timor to help the locals rebuild their lives by planting, giving themelectricityand helping them get water.

I think this was a very good idea because the Nation of East Timor is only 6 years old and very poor. There has already been bombigs and these people deserve this help.

In the end the girls felt proud of themselves for helping the East Timorese and realy happy. I think it was good that someone went somwhere else to help another country instead of partying.
