Australians are thinking about code red. But some people aren’t getting the message. Code red is when Australian bush fires get out of hand; when you can’t control the fire.

People aren’t getting the message about code red because no one has informed them about it. Some people even arrived at school and got sent home. Adults can’t even go to work.

The government made this law because about 170 people died on black Saturday because they weren’t fire ready. But with code read there all different codes so people know when there’s going to be a fire.

I think by making the different fire planes it’s going to make Australia fire ready.

Did you know? In the outback the indigenous people originally had 250 different languages. What would you do if the government told you to learn a different language for more than 2 hours a day? I know I wouldn’t like it? That’s what the government makes the indigenous people do in the outback.

        The government makes the indigenous people do English for 5 hours a day! They only get 1 hour to learn their tribe languages. The indigenous people are worried with this because they think it can destroy there culture. The teachers think it is slower to learn things because they have to tell them what to do in English and the kids don’t t understand some worlds. They tribe is sad because the language can’t get passed down through generations because they are now having to learn English as there 1^st language.

         The government maid this rules because they can get a job easer because they speak English and if they move anywhere to Australia they speak English and it will be easier to socialise. The government says he is not trying to change there language because they are still speak for 1 hour in school and when they get home they can speak whatever language they like.

            I think that the government is on the right track because they do need to speak some English and his not cancelling their tribal language.

People all around the world are getting rescued because the boats and ships have been broken down in some ways. Every country has their own area to protect so if someone went missing from Australia water Australia would be in charge of them

   The world is divided in to search and rescue zones because it easier to track down them because if everyone went looking for one person and some one else needed rescuing no one would be there because they’re all helping the one person so what they do is they divide it into different search and recuing sites so if someone gets lost in Asia and it in their search and rescue zones they to go find them. Some boats that go missing have asylum seekers on the, so they are debating if they should take them back to their countries that they came from or take them to Australia.

I think they should take the asylum seekers to Australia because that’s where the ships or boats were taking them. I think it’s a great idea having different areas for different countries because it’s more organised.

But if people have survived the recue they should be taken to where they need to go or to the nearest Place possible.

Before super markets were invented there where general stores. In general stores you don’t get the freedom to shop around, you come with a list and you ask for what you want the shop keeper will weigh it and put it into paper bags. The small super are getting less and lea business because  big companies like Woolworths and Coles are getting bigger and bigger and small super markets are getting less business. The big super markets have got the entire thing the small super markets have and more.

            Coles are very big company and are buying heaps of other companies so there out to the media. Coles own companies so like Bunning’s warehouse, Target and Kmart. Woolworths are the same the same but they own Big W and coltex. Woolworths want to buy  in too Bunning’s warehouse.

          People concerns about Woolworths and Coles dominating the market. The concern is that small super market owners are going run out of business because Coles and Woolworths would already have the product

           ACCC are debating about stopping Big companies buying out other peoples companies because people are going broke. I don’t think companies should be allowed to buy out other companies because Woolworths and Coles are meant to be super markets not retailers.

Junk food ads

In Australia health authorities are trying to ban junk food ads. We all know that they are not going to ban them so they thought they should only play the ads late at night or when kids aren’t watching the T.V. Health authorities want to ban junk food ads because they think it is one of the things that leads to obesity. If you are obese illnesses such as cancer, diabetes and heart attacks can develop.

ACMA means Australian Commutation Media  Authorities. It is a company that classifies ads and if they don’t like an ad or it has inappropriate themes they can stop the ad. ACMA has recommended for c classification that they should show there junk food ads when kids are at school or late at night.

I think there should be a ban on junk food ads because they are one of the things that make Australians obese.  I do think that junk food ads are contributing to obesity because it makes people have a craving for that food because they make it look really nice and yummy. They also trick children in to liking there food by making toys of thier favourite cartoon characters and movie characters.

 Some solutions to kid’s obesity is that they should play a sport and eat healthy food.  Now that I watched BTN I am informed about junk food ads and everyone’s point of view about it.

The Primister Kevin Rudd has been in and out of hospitals lately but no because his sick, Kevin is trying to help our health system because people who need medical surgery fast cannot get it because there is not an enough medical facilities in Australian hospitals.

            My question was why not just buy more? Well I did some research and medical machinery cost billions of dollars. People are getting scared if they can’t get medical surgery fast they can get really sick and die.

          Some people have private health cover and have to an allowance a month and get medical surgery faster than other people who don’t have it. Everyone in Australia has Medicare; Medicare is a requirement for Australians to have it, the basic Medicare people are not satisfied with so they pay more for private health cover.

Tens of thousands of people have been cut off by floods after wild storms in Queensland and New South Wales. Roads have been turned in to rivers so people are going to work in boats and other water transport. The areas that have been mainly affected is South east Queensland around Brisbane  the gold coast, and North East of New South Wales.

Someone has died from Surfers Paradise’ debris smashed through his office window when he was talking on the phone. A ladie had a land slide in here back yard, she thought it was a plane crash then she walked outside and saw mud everywhere.

A good thing is that the draught in Queensland has been broken let’s just hope the rain comes to use.

I think that Queensland has been very strong about this natural disaster’ they are saying that this is the worst floods in 30 years and areas have been delectated disaster zones.

Unemployment is a serious matter because people are out of work and they are losing homes and are starving there self’s.

We know how many unemployed people there are because they to a survey every month that find out jobs that are free and who is working. Also because you can tell if people are out of jobs because they look poor and homeless.

There are different types of unemployment because some people are home mothers or badly injured so they cannot work. This people are not unemployed because it is their choice. But others want to work but can’t find any work or have quit because they don’t get paid. These are people are that are unemployed.

I think that the government should help and build businesses so that everyone who wants to work can if people don’t get on this top of this now it is going to be everyone with no jobs. Big companies like Pacific Brands are moving to China so there are even more people out of work.

Black Saturday is still striking the horrible fires are spreading. Students had to spend two weeks at a nether school. They were relieved when they came back to their original    school because none of their school was burnt. It was sad but amazing the way that there surviving through the awful fires.

 There was one family who weren’t with their parents and they came back and there house was burnt. Their parents were hiding in the basement and survived. They had a few memories they grabbed on the way out like photos.

There was a lot of animals starved because all the leaves are burnt. Then the wild life people came and saved them and became their new mum.

I think it’s great what these volunteers are doing. If I was old enough I would help. I and my family have donated some money to the fires.
