Swine Flu is a very deadly flu that is now travelling around the nation. So far the disease has killed about 90 people and is said to kill many more. In the United States some schools have been temporarily shut down and sanitised but all events involving big gatherings of people have been completely shut down!

Swine flu all began when a pig caught the bird flu and then later on that year caught the human flu. Scientists have found a tablet called Tami flu which helps make sure you don’t spread the swine flu to others if you have it, they are still trying to find a cure for the disease but for now they are using heat sensitive cameras that detect if you have a form of flu if so they take you to an office for questioning.

I think that to be safe everyone should keep very clean and if you have flu like symptoms you should go get checked out by your doctor as soon as possible, and stay away from large gatherings of people.     

Designer babies seem to be the new thing to do. Instead of changing your wardrobe to keep up with the latest fashions now you can design your own baby as your latest accessory. No one likes a weed in their garden so why not have the perfect family tree.

For thousands of years humans have been populating the world successfully, but now that’s not good enough for some. Scientists have come up with a way you can design your own baby’s jeans. At first scientists came up with the idea so that you could make sure that your baby doesn’t have any illnesses, but now people have been taking it to the next level wanting their babies to have a certain hair and eye colour and for some even a certain height. It may cost a lot of money to have the perfect baby but that doesn’t matter to the very vain.

It is fair enough for those who have a family history of extremely ill people, these families just want a happy healthy child, but I personally think that being able to designing what your baby’s looks like is very wrong. We are all special in our own ways and that’s what makes the world but if this keeps happening the world will be a very boring place. This is the new version of the perfect race.

Most products and clothing items are made in China but some such as brands like Bonds, King gee, Hole proof, Berlei, Grozbie and lots more are made in Australia, until now. The pacific brands have decided to shut down the 7 factories and have all their clothes made over in china.

In some ways it is easier such as it would be cheaper but on the other hand it would also mean that 1,800 people would lose their jobs. Because of this there has been a huge uproar and the people who are losing their jobs have been protesting trying to get the Pacific brands to stay in Australia where it belongs.

I think that Pacific brands should stay being made in Australia where it belongs and there is no point in moving the company when they are fine where they are. It is hard enough for people to find jobs without another 1,800 people out there looking for jobs too.

The animals of the bushfires have been effected majorly by the devastation that raged throughout Victoria.They need as much help as they can get. Paces like Healsville Sanctuary and the Melbourne Zoo have been taking in as many animals as possible and caring for them. A lot of people have been donating money for the animals, but the people caring for them still need more for the ongoing medical treatment and care they will need.

Most of the animals have burns to their feet from the hot ground but some less fortunate animals have more serious burns to their entire bodys and internal injuries caused by radiating heat. These animals will need full time care for the rest of their lives in order to survive and most won’t be able to be returned to the wild.

But with your help, you can make a difference. The RSPCA combined with parks and wildlife Victoria need donations such as food, bedding, money, veterinary equipment etc. There are places you can go to donate land and food for the wildlife too. If you think you can help in any way you can go and see your local RSPCA or veterinary clinic for further details.
