In the last few weeks many people have died from a deadly flu called Swine flu.  Swine flu is a mixture of pig flu+birdflu+human flu= the deadly swine flu.  The Swine flu is pandemic which means contagous and ot of control.

The flu started in Mexico City and has traveledto different conutries and there might even cases in Australia.  So far about 85 people have died.  In some countries including Mexico City people are wearing masks to try not to catch the Deadly Swine Flu.  In Mexico Cityshops, schoools, and many other things are closed.  Some sports games go on but ther are no fans the only people that are there are comentaters and camera operators everyone is watching from there homes.

In airports they have interduced thermal cameras the cameras can detect heat body heat that is if you have a very high temperature they will pull you aside and test you.

So just how can we stop this terrible virus?  Our government has plans if there is an outbreak and there is medicine.  There are many names for Swine Flu like Influenza Type A and Pig Flu.  All of the scientists have to do is keep on searching for a cure don’t give up keep fighting.  I think we  should not make the people pay for the medicinebecause some people might not be able to aford it so for some people it is they just have to die so just give it to them don’t make them pay for it.

The acid in the ocean is becoming more deadly.  The acid pollution is caused mostly by the big smoke stacks.  The acid gets into the ocean by the acid being blown around by the wind and big waves pulls tthe acid and pollution into the water endangering all the animals. The pollution and acid eventually bleaches the coral in the water.

One of the main reefs effected is the 7th Natural Wonder in the world which is the Great Barrier Reef.  The pollution probably has i little bit to do with climate change. With all the acid pollution bleaching the coral soon the fish and things will have no place to live.

Coral is very precious and very beautiful.  I think there are ways to decrease pollution here are some of them instead of driving to work ride your bike thereor catch public transport and you could do the same to school or you could walk.  I think the amount of pollution is RIDICULOUS and STUPID.

Lately Cyclone Hamish hit Queensland in the ocean the waves were huge.  A ship called The Pacific Adventurer was out in the ocean and it hit a huge wave and all of the 31 container of chemicals toppled off the ship and one of the containers hit the oil tank and put a hole in it and all of the oil came out of the tank and in to the water and ended up and some Sunshine Coast beaches and Morten Island.

Many animals will have died because of this disaster.  2,00,000 has leaked into the ocean endangering all animals many animals can suffercate in the oil.  This is the worst envoromental disaster in Queensland.

Wildlife helper have being watering and putting detergent on animals to get oil off them.  On Morten Island there are turtle eggs which have been saved from the oiland have no oil on them.  The eggs will hatch soon and the turtles are very lucky.

The oil ruins the pelicans feathers they are very lucky because the wildlife helper are there to help.  The ships captian will be fined half a million dollars and the ships insurance will be fined 1.5 million dollars. This is really sad and unfortunate.

On beaches in Australia 50 people die because they either can’t swim or the rip drowns them.  Before people go to the beach they should learn how to swim first this is why most people die because they can’t swim.  There are over 5100 people rescued on Australian beaches.  If you get caught in a rip stay calm, float with the rip, don’t swim against the rip or you will get too tired and drown.  If you need assistance close your fist and wave for help and scream HELP!.

Here are some Surf Safety Rules: Swim between the flags, read and obey signs and don’t swim directly after eating.

Humans are not the only ones hurt in the Black Saturday Bushfire, the wildlife was a big hit as well.  Animals have been left without mothers and food.  Most animals have burns to their bodies.  There will be thousands of animals that have been killed by the fires because they didn’t know what was happening and they couldn’t out run the scary fire.  At Healesville Sanctuary there is a little possum called Squeaks. He is a sugar glider and he has burns to his whole body but he has a good chance of surviving.  There are so many people trying to help these poor animals.

All over the world people are donating money to help animals and human involved on the Victorian bush fires.  People are working around the clock to help these poor animals at Melbourne Zoo and Healesville Sanctuary.  Even though Healesville is in the bushfire area they are helping these poor animals.  Many people have been finding animals that are hurt. If you see one please call wildlife ranges/Melbourne Zoo or Healesville Sanctuary and help these hurt animals!
