Asylum Seekers

Ayslum Seekers are people who come from another country without a visa and expect that they can be allowed to come into Australia and get a visa when they arrive.

The government are only aloud to invite so many immigrants into Australia. These Asylum Seekers pay thousands to come and start another live in Australia but because they are travelling illegially. The Coast Guards come out and check why they are travelling and if they have a document to prove that they are allowed to come to Australia. if they Coast Guards Don’t allow them to carry on then they will ask them to come onboard there boat which will take them to the nearest land. Most of these Asylum Seekers go days with only a little bit to eat and drink. Lookat how much food our parents pack into our lunch boxes each day. They probably only get a small amount of food compared to us. We have bottles of water in our bag wheras they only have a few sips of water or whatever the drink is.

Kevin Rudd Thinks that these Asylum Seekers should go to Jail because they are coming over illegially without any permission.

Sea City

The Great Barrier Reef is being threatened By CO2 because what we use to run our cars and everyday things is affecting the coral which is the major part of The Great Barrier Reef. Another thing that is affecting our Great Barrier Reef is bleaching. This bleaching caused The Great Barrier Reef’s coral to fade in colour.  Scientists believe that we are to blame for the things which are happening to our reef’s and other attractions this global warming has a major part. It’s not the only thing that is being affected by CO2, the animals that live around the reef are being affected by it all as well.

Designer Babies

In America Some little town has opened this shop which is called Designer Babies. Why it is called that is because some Parents want there children to have blonde hair and blue eyes and their child to be smart or lean. Some Parents in the USA think it is ridiculous because your born the way you are. Other people think it is a wonderful idea because they can choose what colour hair it has and what colour eyes it has.  People think that you shouldn’t mess with nature because you are born you are and you can’t change who you are. I think that you should be pleased who you are and however you are be proud of it.

Kylie Minogue was singing and she started lots of excitment in the crowd. Overall Victoria and Other states of Australia have donated lots of money for the affected areas. The event was saying thankyou to the fire fIghters who battled the flames to try and put out the fires which were burning out of control. It was also putting smiles on peoples faces who had lost love ones or there homes. People who had been affected were invited to the Sound Relief to try and put smiles back on there faces.

Pacific Brands

Over the last few weeks Pacific Brands have sacked people because they are moving to China. In China  lots of people are poor and its hard to find jobs with so many people in China. In China there aren’t enough jobs for all the people. Pacific Brands have slayed people of so they can move to China. If there were no workers there would be no undies, clothes, socks and shoes. Four factories in the state will account for about half of the 1,200 manufacturing jobs to go, with another 650 head office jobs to be dropped by the Melbourne-based clothing company.  Another 280 jobs will go from the Bonds plant at Unanderra and the King Gee plant at Bellambi. Afew days ago Pacific Brands pulled out of  the Melbourne Fashion Festival. They were going to sponsor it and they were going to donate  $100 000  to the show which will be happening this weekend. The show is called Unzipped Collection Underwear.  Let’s hope the rest of the workers will keep theie jobs and the Financial time will end.

Animal Rescue

During the fire period lot’s of animals have been brought in with serious burns or with not enough food. Lot’s are being taken to the zoo to be treated for burns. Animals have been at shelters but because they are not fit enough to go into the wild. While the animals are being treated they can predict that lot’s more animals will be treated. At the animals that are fit to go back to the bush can’t because there is nothing for them to feed on. Animals which will go back to the bush will have to fight for the food because of how much of the bush has been burnt it will take years for it to grow back.  Lots of pets like dogs, cats, horses and some reptiles have been found and the shelters are not knowing if they will ever find the owners of some of these animals. Let’s  hope that the animals will find their owners and that the animals will be able to go back to the bush.

Black Saturday

The fires affected area’s are down with sadness and guilt. Family’s are living in tent’s or staying with family and friends as they have lost everything. Some people even lost love ones. The flames reached 1400c which most of us will never experiance the heat.

People are living in tents at the moment till their houses are rebuilt. They are living with clothes, food and toys at the moment which have been donated by generous Australians. People unfortuantly lost their lives by trying to defend their homes or escaping by cars. Flames raced so fast that people in cars couldn’t escape and were left stranded in their cars which were destroyed byt flames. Let’s hope the people affected by fires will be able to rebuild and carry on with there lives.
