Steeple chase is one of the many horse races in Victoria and South Australia. It was brought in by two Irish men who had a bet who could make it from one church steeple too another jumping anything in the way.

The dangers of this sport are at very high risk. It is common for something to happen during these events. It happens repeatedly and nothing is done about it. But this does not only involve horses, it involves jockeys too! Imagine 650kg falling onto you r body, or falling of a horses going 50k an hour! If a person broke a bone doctors could put some plaster on and in like 2 months it would be better. But with a horse it is completely different.

A lot of people know that Australia is in a drought but the water is spent on the tracks way too much. Everyone in Australia is doing there bit but no these people aren’t. The drought has caused plants to die, animals and even people but this doesn’t matter to them! They don’t care!

Also people having been trying to stop there gambling addictions but this encourages them. it tell people with the problem it’s ok to go throw your money away. It’s ok to keep on losing money. But it’s not that’s why this event should be driven to the end!

My opinion would be to ban this sport… Why? All these reasons and more the danger the drought and the gambling! So help stop this event in its tracks!
