School’s in Africa

Just recently, a woman went to Africa for a holiday but found someone and married him. Her passion was to help the homeless children in Africa and give them an education.  She bought some land and built a little Primary School and it went really well but after awhile more and more children came to the school. She decided to buy more land and build another school and it went successfully well.

Animal Cruelty

In some farm’s pigs are being treated really cruely by thier owner’s. In other farm’s Pigs are able to run around they are called free range pigs.

At market’s you can now buy free range pork rather then getting pork from a pig who suffered from poor farming.

A few week’s ago a farmer in Tassie was fined a lot of money because of his cruelty to the pigs. A Animal activist went into the pigery and was horrified by what she saw. The pigs couldn’t move because of the macots. Now most of the people think that we should have more free range farm’s. I also think that pigs should be treated fairly.

Steeple Racing

Steeple Racing has been around for over one hundred years. It started when two lrish men made abet about racing their horses between two church steeples. Recently debate has risen around this topic. Steeple racing should not be banned.

Steeple racing is entertaining; it is entertaining for the crowd and the people at home watching.

Horses love to jump, when horses are in their paddocks’ you would see horses running and jumping all over the place.

Steeple racing creates lots of jobs for people all over the world. Jobs provide income which allows people to live. Without steeple racing the unemployment rate would be even higher.

l think steeple racing should be banned so the horses are save.

Steeple Chasing

Steeple chasing has been a very popular sport and traditional port for 177 years and has attracted many visitors from different countries to watch. It all began when two Irishmen had a dispute over whose horse was faster so they had a race between two steeples jumping everything in their way and that’s how the sport of steeple chasing about.

Although the sport has been going for so long and most people have enjoyed the sport it was a big surprise for when it made the news. The thing that’s bothering a lot of people recently is the fact that it puts so much strain and pressure on the horses. According to experts the horses love to jump but even so it is too much to ask.

It may attract large crowds a can be a regular outing for some the sport is still very dangerous to the horses and the riders. A main problem of why so many horses die is not actually from the initial impact but from a broken leg.

The horses’ legs aren’t the same as a human in that there is not as much calcium in the legs so it can take them up to a year to heal fully and if you don’t know it’s very difficult to keep them still for that long so the owners put them out of their misery and put them down.

If you could please share your opinion that would be great.

Animal cruelty

In the sour farms around Australia pigs have had a tough time in some of the farms you see farmers put pigs in pens where they can only stand up and lie down and they can’t turn around, but in some other farms farmers are doing something called free range farming which means farmers take the pigs out of their pens to get some proper exercize and the farmer takes a big machine that blows food out of a pipe and the pigs will eat it.

There are about 20,000 pigs in the Tasmanian industry, with about 12 large producers. Stateline asked the Department of Primary Industries if any auditing, inspection or accreditation of piggeries is done by the State Government. No one was available for an interview, but in a statement we were told, There is no register of commercial pig production. There is no statutory or regulatory requirement to seek a licence or suck-like for pig production (or for most other forms of farming.

Safe Driving

Since cars have been made they have been very useful to lots of people around the world and safety and design has been made for looks and safety but even with the technology we have today there are still occasional crashes that can be very devastating.

Crashes are on the news almost every week as well as most of the victims are young adults or teenagers. That’s why over 400 people in a Queensland have been taking the tests. Especially in the environment they live where they have to practice swerving oncoming wildlife and how to grip well on the dusty outback roads.

One of the main reasons why so many people hit objects is because most of the time as the person sees the object the freak out and there whole body locks causing them hit the thing they were trying to avoid so at this program they teach all of the students to steer with their eyes hopefully preventing this.

On the programs provided the students are able to test the affect of drunkenness on the sidewalk and then are all asked would you hop into a car and drive like this and all of them replied NO!

Animal Cruelty

All over the news there has been alot of talk about animal cruelty to all animals that are kept in a farm especially pigs.

Since 1960 the’ve treated pigs servealy. In a pigery in Tasmania a farmer kept the pigs in a confind space magets are all over them, dirt and grime is on there faces and forced to bread piglets. An animal activists broke into the pigery very sneakily and filmedthe state that they were in. Pigs are very smart they are smarter than dogs so why don’t we treat dogs the same as pigs.

So I think we should stop animal cruelty by looking and being aware on the products lable, computers, t.v and other electric appliances that are animal related. So stop animal cruelty.

Animal Cruelty

In Australia there are laws of how animals should be treated. But a farmer in Tasmania has broken these laws. His pigs were infested with maggots had no water and no room to move around. An animal activist took some horrible photo’s (you can see them on the BTN website). This does not just apply to pigs but also chickens who are forced to lay eggs, and dogs bread over and over again. Duck shooting, people hunt ducks for fun kill them and leave them there! Sharks fins being cut off for soup the sharks get chucked into water and then they can’t swim without their ins so the drowned. Whales harpooned for fun! It’s terrible and nobody is stopping these people.

My opinion is this should be stopped. it’s terrible and we should all start buying free ranged food. At least we know the animals have lived a happy healthy life. So stop animal cruelty!

Animal Cruelty

Recently a Tasmanian pig farmer is in trouble with police. Because of the way he has been treating his animals. An animal rights activist says she found some of his pigs living in terrible conditions and he has been charged by the police with animal cruelty.

According to some pigs are smarter than most dogs. They love to explore and are quite social animals. This has happened since the 1920′s. The 50 breeding sows and their offspring never leave the air-conditioned environment of the totally enclosed piggery. The pens might look overcrowded, but the experts say pigs appreciate company and they grow faster when there’s not much spare in which to run around.

Produces, at the very least, must make sure pigs are fed, have shelter and are kept free from disease but a farmer in Tasmania has recently been charged with breaking that law. What happened was an animal activist took her camera and filmed inside the piggery and took their vision to police. She was horrified by what she saw the pigs were infested with maggots, they couldn’t move, there was no water for them to drink. When police inspected the site, they charged the operator with animal cruelty offences. The piggery is one of the biggest in Tasmania and supplies lots of Woolworth’s supermarkets there. Woolworths weren’t happy about what they saw and have told the operators to improve their act. Of course situations like these are rare. The industry says the majority of farmer take good care of their animals and do their best to meet everyone’s needs. Animal actvisits want more farm inspections and better protections for pigs. But no one wants to see another situation like this one again.
