Drowning Danger

On beaches in Australia 50 people die because they either can’t swim or the rip drowns them.  Before people go to the beach they should learn how to swim first this is why most people die because they can’t swim.  There are over 5100 people rescued on Australian beaches.  If you get caught in a rip stay calm, float with the rip, don’t swim against the rip or you will get too tired and drown.  If you need assistance close your fist and wave for help and scream HELP!.

Here are some Surf Safety Rules: Swim between the flags, read and obey signs and don’t swim directly after eating.

And SLIP SLAP SLOP on the SUNSCREEN.

  1. Ally, great to see you have remembered some of those vital beach safety rules. The final paragraph needs to contain more detail about your opinion of the issues raised in the story.
